How To Activate MTN BIS Plan On Blackberry Phones

As much as we know that the Android powered gadgets have taken over the smartphone market in Nigeria, there are still a bunch of people who stick to their "Blackberry smartphones" as their go to devices for internet and daily IM activities.

I guess you think I might be wrong. Well, the rate at which I get messages on my various social accounts with people wanting to know how they can go about activating or subscribing to a Blackberry Internet Service says otherwise.

In this post, I've decided to detail how to subscribe to an MTN BIS plan from your Blackberry phone in the steps below.

Firstly the BIS plans are categorized into Absolute and Complete packages as you would be see below. They are obviously distinct in their data caps.

To activate any of the plans, send the keyword to 21600.

MTN BIS Complete Plans

BIS Complete Daily: It costs N100. To Activate, send "BBCDAY" to 21600

BIS Complete Weekly: At N499, activate using the keyword "BBCWEEK".

BIS Complete Monthly: At N1000, you can activate by sending the keyword "BBC" to 21600.

MTN ABSOLUTE BIS Plans

Below are the plans for the absolute Blackberry Internet Service plans offered by MTN Nigeria.

BIS Absolute Daily: It costs N120. To Activate, send "BBMONTH" to 21600

BIS Absolute Weekly: At N599, activate using the keyword "BBWEEK".

BIS Absolute Monthly: At N1500, you can activate by sending the keyword "BIS" to 21600.

It should be of importance to note that the Blackberry Internet Service does not work for the BB10 devices such as Z3, Z10, Z30, Q5, Q10, BB Classic, Blackberry Leap, Blackberry Passport, Blackberry Porsche Design P'9982 and Blackberry Porsche Design P'9983.
