Check Out Android 12 Releasing Dates

Google has finally released the first Android 12 beta at Google I/O 2021, after three developer previews. In fact, the first beta build is now available on Pixels, as well as devices from a few other manufacturers.

Android 12 is already shaping up to be one of the most significant updates to the platform in years. Google is focusing on two main pillars with Android 12: personalization and privacy. The former is something Google's version of Android has never adopted as a headline feature.

The question every android user is asking is when should we expect it to launch? Well, going forward, we can expect at least three more beta releases. The Android 12 release date should be easy enough to ascertain around the launch of the third or fourth beta.

So far, so good this is what has been officially launched:

  1. February 18, 2021: Android 12 Developer Preview 1
  2. March 3, 2021: Android 12 Developer Preview 1.1
  3. March 17, 2021: Android 12 Developer Preview 2
  4. April 7, 2021: Android 12 Developer Preview 2.2
  5. April 21, 2021: Android 12 Developer Preview 3
  6. May 18, 2021: Android 12 Beta 1

For the record, last year for the Android 11 launch, Google had the first beta out in June and the final launch in early September. It is highly likely we'll see a very similar schedule this year.

In the meantime, check out what we know so far in the next section.

Android 12 Timeline

According to the most recent information, Google plans to launch monthly updates for Android 12. We can expect the second beta in June. Beta versions of the software are good enough for consumer use, but caution line should always be drawn.

After four beta launches, the Android 12 release date will be easy to narrow down. Depending on how development goes, it could be in the middle or end of August. It could also be early September.

Samsung Devices That Have Received Android 11/One UI 3.0 Update

Android 11 is the eleventh major release and 18th version of Android, the mobile operating system developed by the Open Handset Alliance led by Google. It was released on September 8, 2020 and is the latest Android version to date.

As of April 2021, 12.44% of Android devices run Android 11 (API 30), the latest Android version. Source: Wikipedia

It typically takes Android OEMs a reasonable piece to get the most recent version of the OS on more seasoned devices. However, Samsung has been improving and better at this consistently.

Beginning this year, Samsung presented the more current version of its custom software system – One UI 3.1. Just like the One UI 3.0, it is also based on the Android 11 operating system. Most of its 2020 phones now receiving the update. Here's every device Samsung has updated to Android 11 so far.

What's new in Android 11 on Samsung devices?

Samsung's Android 11 update brings the typical features you know and loves from Google's update, including notification improvements, Bubbles for messages, and many others. One that was unfortunately cut, though, was Google's useful power menu shortcuts for smart home devices. Shame.

On top of Android 11, the smartphone giant is also including One UI 3.0, which includes all of the features Galaxy owners have known and loved for years, as well as a few new additions and a fresh coat of paint on the design as a whole. It's a slick look that continues to refine Samsung's work on Android that, frankly, has especially become really good over the past few years.

So, what devices are getting Android 11? Samsung has confirmed updates for quite a lot of devices from the S, Note, Z, and A series, but even more devices will likely be updated over time. Here's what's been updated so far.

Samsung Devices that have Received Android 11

  1. Galaxy S20 Series
  2. Galaxy S20 — One UI 3.1
  3. Galaxy S20+ — One UI 3.1

Samsung has started the rollout of Android 11 to its Galaxy S10 series in January as well. The update is available in Switzerland on the Galaxy S10e and S10 5G at first but should expand to the S10 and S10+ as well as other regions in the near future. The S10e's update is also available in the US.

The Galaxy S10 and S10+ are both getting their Android 11 update now as well, though the update was briefly pulled due to some bugs. As of February 1, the update appears to be widely rolling out in Korea and has been spotted on some US carriers recently. As of mid-February, the update has been released for all Galaxy S10 variants in the US.

The Galaxy S10 Lite picked up Android 11 around December 22 in India and Spain. The update has also since been spotted in the US, UK, and Germany.

One UI 3.1 started rolling out to the Galaxy S10 series in several regions around March 10th, rolling out widely in the US especially.

Around December 14, the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra saw updates to Android 11 on AT&T. Verizon, T-Mobile, and unlocked variants have followed in the time since. The update is also available globally on carriers and unlocked units.

In February, the Galaxy Note 20 series started picking up One UI 3.1, an update that's now available on all major carriers as well as in other countries.

To close out 2020, Samsung rolled out Android 11 and One UI 3.0 to the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+. By mid-February, the update is widely available in most regions. The update also rolled out to the Note 10 Lite in early March.

The Galaxy A51 5G and Galaxy A71 5G both saw updates arrive in early February in regional releases. Meanwhile, the world's most popular Android phone, the Galaxy A51 (4G) saw its update rolling out in mid-February nearly across the globe. In early April, the Galaxy A51 5G finally got it's Android 11 upgrade and Samsung went directly to One UI 3.1 as well. The older Galaxy A50 and A50s also picked up Android 11 with One UI 3.1 in early March, though only in some regions. It landed on the Verizon-sold A50 in April.

The Galaxy A40 picked up Android 11 and One UI 3.1 in March, right alongside the Galaxy A80 in Europe. On March 25th, the update started rolling out to the Galaxy A90 5G in South Korea as well as the Galaxy A70s in India. In early April, the Galaxy A70 saw a wider rollout of Android 11 The Galaxy A60 was updated around April 13th. As April turns the corner, the popular Galaxy A31 saw it's Android 11 update from Samsung starting in South Korea. As with all of Samsung's phones, that likely means a global rollout isn't too far off. The Galaxy A01 also saw its Android 11 update around April 24th while the Galaxy A31 was seeing a wider rollout at the time. The Galaxy A41 and Galaxy A21s saw their Android 11/One UI 3.1 update rolling out just a couple of days later in select regions.

In May 2021, the Galaxy A02s saw it's Android 11 update finally start rolling out in Russia ahead of other regions. Around the same time, the Galaxy A12 also saw its update in the same region. On May 13th, the update was spotted on the Galaxy A11 in Central America.

  2. Galaxy Z Flip 5G — One UI 3.1
  3. Galaxy Fold — One UI 3.1
  4. Galaxy Z Fold 2 — One UI 3.1
Samsung has traditionally been just a bit slow to update its foldable to new versions of Android, but the Galaxy Z Flip 5G broke that rule. That device's update started rolling out in Switzerland on December 21 but has not been confirmed for other regions.

Just ahead of the new year, too, Samsung started rolling out the Android 11 update for its regular Galaxy Z Flip with a roughly 2GB update. One UI 3.1 started rolling out to the series in February.

On January 11, Samsung opened the Android 11 floodgates for its $2,000 Galaxy Z Fold 2. The update started rolling out in Germany and is mentioned on the TELUS website that is rolling out in Canada as soon as January 20. The update is also rolling out in India and the UK and has rolled out widely in the United States. The One UI 3.1 update started rolling out in late February/early March in some regions too.

As reported by SamMobile on January 18, Samsung started rolling out Android 11 to its original Galaxy Fold. The update has already appeared in France, UAE, UK, and Switzerland, though it may depend on whether you own the LTE or 5G versions of the phone.

  5. Galaxy Tab S5e — One UI 3.1
  6. Galaxy Tab A7 — One UI 3.1
  7. Galaxy Tab Active 3
The Galaxy Tab S7 series was among the first of Samsung's tablets to get Android 11, and it also started right off the bat with One UI 3.1. The Galaxy Tab S6 later picked up Android 11 and One UI 3.1 in early March. The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite also got its One UI 3.1 update in some regions in early March. In April, the update extended again to the Galaxy Tab S5e, spotted in Russia and the UK first. Other regions should be quick to follow. The Galaxy Tab Active 3 picked up its update in the second half of April with the Galaxy Tab A7 only a few days behind it in some regions across Europe.

Recently, the biggest data breach of Domino’s India is done where data of more than 18 crore orders were leaked.

Recently, the biggest data breach of Domino's India is done where data of more than 18 crore orders were leaked. Nearly 13TB employee and customer details, including email addresses, phone numbers, order locations, and names, are leaked online.

Now, what can you do if you want to check if your details are available or not? Here's how you can check?

What to do if Your Details are Leaked in Domino's Data Breach?

The owner of Domino's India has confirmed the news of the data breach and said financial data is safe. In April, the hacker got access to Domino's India server, and now they have created a search engine on the dark web.

If you are a regular user of Domino's, then follow the given steps to check if your data has been leaked or not.

How To Check If My Domino's Data Was Leaked?

To know if your data is available in the database or not, you can visit a site where you need to enter your email address or phone number.

You will see all the linked emails, orders, time of order, location, and address in the results.

Visit the URL to check if your data is leaked.

With this website, anyone can search and spy on any contact as many phone numbers are available.

The security researcher Rajshekhar Rajaharia posted about the breach first and has also explained how it can affect the users.

What can you Do if your Data is Leaked?

Now, as you can check with the help of the above-given link that your data is leaked or not, now; what's the solution if your data is available?

Change Password

Immediately change your password of your Domino's account. If your password is the same for other services, then better change it as well, as hackers can try to use your credentials on other sites and try to get the login details.

Contact your Bank

A data breach can let the hacker access your financial details like bank accounts and credit card. So, you better contact your bank and ask to cancel your current card and get a new credit or debit card.

Lastly, we would like to say that it is better to use Two-factor authentication. It will keep all your apps and sites safe, as until you don't enter the code, no one can access the services. Almost all services like emails, internet banking allow this. So, it is better to have more security.

New leaks suggest Google is preparing to introduce an all-new Pixel 6 and a bigger Pixel 6 Pro.

New leaks suggest Google is preparing to introduce an all-new Pixel 6 and a bigger Pixel 6 Pro. This week, our first look at the "Pro" emerged from a trusted source, teasing a massive high-end device ready to rival the competition come late August.

It's important to remember that these are purely device renders and in no way official, but the leakster @Onleaks has an excellent track record, especially with Pixel devices.

These renders show a unique design completely different from any prior Google phones. And aside from the obvious orange accent color, the Pixel 6 Pro packs a huge 6.67-inch curved display and could be the biggest Pixel phone yet.

The display is expected to use an OLED panel with an in-display fingerprint scanner, but there's no report on if Google will offer a high refresh rate. Then, like most phones lately, it'll house the front-facing camera inside the screen, at the top center of the phone.

Earlier reports hint that Google will use its own in-house processor, similar to Apple's approach, rather than a typical Qualcomm chipset. However, we'll have to wait and see.

While the back camera array is reminiscent of the Nexus 6P, this is Google's most ambitious design yet. More importantly, Google might finally offer triple rear cameras. Those being the main camera, ultra-wide, and a new periscope-style zoom lens like the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Basically, Google will finally match the competition with wide and telephoto cameras.

The smaller Pixel 6 (of unknown size) may only offer dual rear cameras, while Google reserves triple cameras and a bigger screen for the Pro.

We're unsure if Google will call this the 'Pixel 6 Pro' or stick to its Pixel 6 XL naming scheme. What we do know, though, is that Google's definitely aiming for a unique design, all while going big for the Pixel 6 lineup thanks to upgrades to the camera, display, and design.

In closing, earlier reports hint at three color options: Arctic Blue, Sorta Orange, and Mostly Gray. Finally, we may see a Pixel 6 release date around August 26th.

If you signed up to a VPN and want to make sure it’s safe to use before browsing the web, then the best way to do so is to test it yourself.

If you signed up to a VPN and want to make sure it's safe to use before browsing the web, then the best way to do so is to test it yourself. There are several free tools that allow you to test your connection's security and determine whether or not your VPN is doing its job. You need no special knowledge to do so, so let's get started.

What Are VPNs?

In short, VPNs are services that will let you connect to the internet through their servers, effectively changing your IP address and partially protecting you from tracking by your ISP and any websites that you visit. If you want to keep yourself undetected while browsing, they're an important part of your toolkit, although you'll also need to use Incognito Mode and follow some other steps for anything resembling anonymity.

However, VPNs aren't bulletproof: There are some problems that can pop up in even the best of VPNs that can potentially reveal your IP address to the sites or services that you visit, thus rendering your VPN useless. Thankfully, there are a number of free tools available on the web that can help you track down these issues and deal with them.
Types of VPN Leaks

When a VPN broadcasts your IP address instead of that of the VPN's server, that's called a leak. There are three types of leaks that you can easily detect with simple tools: IP leaks, WebRTC leaks, and DNS leaks.

IP leaks come in two flavors: IPv4 and IPv6 leaks. (We have an article on the difference between IPv4 and IPv6). An IPv4 leak is when the VPN fails to protect your connection, pure and simple. You won't see too many of these, if ever, as they only happen when a VPN fails.

According to Dimitar Dobrev, founder of VPNArea, IPv6 leaks happen if both you and the website you connect to support IPv6, but your VPN only supports IPv4. With the IPv6 connection effectively unprotected, the site can see your IP address. The only good way to prevent this is to upgrade to a VPN that uses IPv6 protection or has the option to shut it off. If your VPN has neither, then get another.

WebRTC leaks are a different issue: In the words of ExpressVPN Vice President Harold Li, Web Real-Time Communication (WebRTC) is a collection of standardized technologies that allows web browsers to communicate with each other directly without the need for an intermediate server. As this goes on, occasionally, a browser can accidentally reveal your IPv4 address and with it, your location. If this happens, you can disable WebRTC requests with a browser extension.

Last but not least are DNS leaks, which are quite common, and even high-end VPNs will occasionally suffer from them. They happen when your DNS requests are sent to your standard DNS servers directly without going through the VPN and using the VPN's DNS servers. Changing servers should fix it, but if it happens regularly, you probably need to change VPNs.
VPN Testing Tools

Now that we know what we're looking for, let's take a look at how we can detect these three types of leaks. There are a number of tools to choose from: Our favorites are ipleak.net owned by AirVPN—and ipleak.org, which is owned by VPNArea. Both do a fine job of showing you what you need to know, but since we like ipleak.net's interface a little better, we'll be using that one for the purposes of this article.

If you're experienced in working with the backend of computers, our favorite VPN service, ExpressVPN, has put out its testing tools on GitHub. If you're comfortable with more advanced tools like this, we recommend that you give them a whirl and get not just information on leaks, but also on a host of other data.

Testing Your Connection

To show you how the tests work, first, we'll go to ipleak.net without enabling a VPN. There's no introduction screen or anything. You're immediately brought to your test results.

At the top is your IP address. Under that are the country and the city you're in (Hello from sunny Cyprus.). However, sometimes, your city might show up differently: For instance, ipleak.net usually shows my city as Larnaca or Nicosia (both of which are about 50 miles away). This is due to my ISP connecting to a server elsewhere on the island.

The IPv6 test is just to the right of your IP address. It showing up as "not reachable" means that you passed, in this case, so we're safe. Below that is WebRTC detection. If it's empty, you're also good.

Last but not least is your DNS test, which shows a host of IP addresses, which can be from anywhere. These are the different servers that your signal has bounced between before hitting ipleak.net's server. As it is now, it's also fine.

Since running a test on an unprotected connection is kind of pointless, let's connect to a server in the Netherlands. All you need to do in this case is connect, and then reload the ipleak.net page. The test will be run again automatically.

In this test, there are a few things to note: The results for the IPv6 and WebRTC tests are fine. To find out whether our VPN passed the DNS leak test, we need to look through the list of IP addresses and see whether or not our original IP is there: If it's not, like now, we're all good. This means that the connection is all good and that the VPN has passed.

However, there is one thing to note, and if you start running your tests yourself, you'll come across this quite often: The location of the VPN's IP address is different than what we selected. We chose a server in Amsterdam, but this IP places us in Overijssel, which is a province about 60 miles or 100km from Amsterdam.

According to Mr. Dobrev, this has to do with the way that IPs are registered. IP addresses can be moved around, but it often takes a while for the registrar to update this information. Also, to further complicate the issue, there's more than one registrar. However, this is not a security issue. Usually, within a few days, the IP address will show up where it needs to be.

What Do Bad Results Look Like?

However, not all tests will look this rosy. Generally speaking, IPv4, IPv6, and WebRTC leaks will happen the least. Your author has tested a lot of VPNs and has only come across a few of these. However, DNS leaks are a lot more common, so always be sure to look carefully through the DNS servers to make sure that you don't spy your own IP address among them.

If you're looking for a new VPN, our top pick is ExpressVPN. ExpressVPN offers its own DNS leak test, too.

Samsung’s cheap new iPad alternative is coming soon if the latest leaks are to be believed, and it’ll be a decent little tablet for those on a budget.

Samsung's cheap new iPad alternative is coming soon if the latest leaks are to be believed, and it'll be a decent little tablet for those on a budget. We're talking about the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, and odd name aside here's what we know so far.

Both the Galaxy Tab S7 FE and this A7 Lite are on the way as affordable options, but the cheaper model that'll pique your interest is the A7 Lite. An extensive leak detailed on Twitter confirmed the screen size, specs, options, and potential pricing.

It looks like Samsung will deliver an 8.6-inch screen, although it'll only be 1340 x 800, and not 1080p. Earlier reports stated 8.4-inches, so we'll have to wait and see. The tablet may feature a low-end MediaTek Helio 8-core processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, although it still has a MicroSD slot for storage expansion.

The leak suggests the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite runs on a 5,100 mAh battery with fast charging, comes in two colors with an aluminum design, not to mention stereo speakers, and an 8-megapixel camera on the back. Basically, a good-sized budget tablet running Android 11, with an update to Android 12 coming later.

According to the leakster, expect a retail price of around €150 in Europe for the WIFI variant, with the LTE model costing a little more. Pricing in the US often varies, but this points to a price under $189.

As a reminder, earlier this month, Google confirmed some changes as they try to make Android tablets great again, which makes Samsung's upcoming Galaxy A7 Lite even more tempting. We'll report back once it's officially announced and available to buy.

The sub-brand of Xiaomi, Redmi has recently released a new smartphone from the Redmi Note 10 Seri11111111111es which is named Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G.

The sub-brand of Xiaomi, Redmi has recently released a new smartphone from the Redmi Note 10 Series which is named Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G.

As the name suggests, this smartphone is different from the Redmi Note 10 Pro which is sold outside of China because the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G comes with 5G support even though the Redmi had to sacrifice the AMOLED screen in the 4G version.

It is known that this smartphone still has the same display as other models, where Redmi also presents a special edition with a rear body that has a pattern similar to the Mi 11 Lei Jun Signature Edition.

Due to the expense of an AMOLED screen, the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G uses a 6.6-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels which still supports 120Hz refresh rates and 240Hz touch sampling rates.

In addition, this smartphone is also equipped with a chipset made by MediaTek, i.e Dimensity 1100, which is arguably a mid-range chipset that has pretty good performance.

The chipset is also combined with LPDDR4 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. This smartphone that has IP53 certification also comes with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging.

The following is the price information for the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G sold in China, quoted from Gizmochina:
  • 6GB + 128GB – ¥ 1,599 (approx. N100,000 naira)
  • 8GB + 128GB – ¥ 1,799 (approx. N116,000 naira)
  • 8GB + 256GB – ¥ 1,999 (approx. N127,000 naira)

  4. Galaxy S20 Ultra — One UI 3.1
  5. Galaxy S20 FE — One UI 3.1
Rolling out as of December 2, the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra all picked up the Android 11 update on multiple US carriers as well as unlocked models and global carrier units. These phones also picked up One UI 3.1 in late February.

The Galaxy S20 FE picked up Android 11 starting in Russia on December 18, with the UK, India, and Germany also seeing updates. As of January 7, the update is rolling out in the US as well with all major carriers pushing updates as of January 18. At this point, it appears that the update has reached a nearly full rollout across the globe.

In late February, One UI 3.1 started rolling out to the S20 series, with the update broadly available in the US and around the world. Notably, though, the update is still not available for some devices in some regions.

Galaxy S10 Series

  1. Galaxy S10 — One UI 3.1
  2. Galaxy S10+ — One UI 3.1
  3. Galaxy S10e — One UI 3.1
  4. Galaxy S10 5G — One UI 3.1
  5. Galaxy S10 Lite — One UI 3.1
