Fresh Released TStv Full Channel List, Decoder Price and Subscription Packages
The entry of the cable network (TSTV) into Nigeria's media space was one of the top trending topics on the internet now. On October 1st, 2017, the 57th anniversary of Nigeria's independence, a new cable television platform known as Telecom Satellites TV (TStv) will launch its services that very day. TS is a Direct-To-Home (DTH) broadcast service that came to be as a result of a multi-transponder agreement between ABS and Telcom Satellites TV to deliver DTH to Nigeria on the ABS 3A satellite. The service is set to air more than 100 TV channels at first and grow to above 150 with time. ![]() Bright Echefu, STV Managing Director and CEO said: "Our vision is to provide premium video experience to Nigerians at affordable prices. Our services will enable the viewers to experience HD and SD video and internet surfing at the same time. We are the first indigenous local operator in the region to launch such a premium platform with a variety of services to Nigerians, who have been so far paying exorbitant prices to foreign operators." TStv is offering internet and broadcast services all in one package similar to what Zuku offers its subscribers in Kenya to effectively tame DStv in that East African country. ![]() The TStv market entry is fostered on the theme of freedom to enjoy better and cheaper payTv services. The new station has a lower entry price and a monthly subscription window with Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) offerings. Subscribers on TStv may save themselves up to 200% in their monthly satellite TV budget as the new service provider unleash a pricing war on the existing monopoly. According to Telcom Satelite Tv, the data plans allocated to the various bouquets is not necessarily what you use to watch the channels. So no cause for alarm. It's an added advantage and incentive to entice you. With that data, you can connect your PC and smartphones to the decoder via WiFi hotspot to enjoy browsing and downloading with it. Multichoice's Digital Satellite TV (DStv) has been around for about 22 years. Its monopoly was last challenged by HiTV which has long ceased to be in the market owing to a mix of factors that include huge debts and boardroom tussles. With HiTV out, DStv dominance. But with the announcement of the new TV provider entering the market with the Hybrid Broadcast Broadband (HBB) technology that combines both satellite and internet service for TV services, DStv is re-strategizing to sustain its market share. Already it is being speculated that the company is planning to adopt the PAYG offering, although it is yet to be announced. Telcom Satelite TV is set to challenge the monopoly of South African Multichoice's Digital Satellite TV (DStv) in the pay TV market. It is the next big thing in Nigeria and TStv Africa decoder shall be on sell nationwide from 1st October! But before then, dealers outlet location addresses shall be made available for easy accessibility of the decoders. Details can be gotten at their official site www.tstvafrica.com |
